FOOD TO BALANCE VATA, PITTA AND KAPHA
All these three elements gets
unbalance cause of wrong drinking and eating habits. Here we will discuss about
right food to balance each dosha or elements. Also these element dominant on
body by various climate changes.
PITTA YOGA |
The kapha represents oily, cold, heavy, viscous, smooth, slimy and immobile. Kapha get unbalance in late winter and early summer, if dominant on body. Unbalance of kapha leads to respiratory ailments, weight gain, fluid retention, allergies, mucous & congestion. Kapha has steady sex drive and learn quickly, forgot slowly.
They
should eat raw & bitter veggies, spicy foods, honey, and strong spices like
ginger and fenugreek is excellent.it will help to stimulate digestion.
Foods
to avoid – sour fruit, excessive eating, fatty foods, and sugar.
The
vata properties are dry, rough, light, cold, and subtle. It gets
unbalance in late autumn and early winter if dominant on body. Its unbalance
leads to headaches, dry skin, constipation, nervous anxiety, insomnia, pre
mature aging. Vata has variable sex drive and learn quickly even forgets
quickly.
They
should eat cooked food, healthy fats, hot tea, and mild spices like cinnamon,
almonds, coconut, peanuts, cashew nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pistachios
and sesame seeds, whole grains and vegetables, kiwis, melons, pineapples,
bananas, grapes, plums.
Foods
to avoid – cold salad, bitter and astringent foods and caffeine, guava,
pomegranates, pears, lychees, apples, unripe bananas.
The
properties of pitta element are oily, observant, hot, light, odorous,
mobile, anger and fluid. Pitta gets unbalance especially in late springs and
summers. Unbalance of pitta leads to ulcers, fevers, acne, acidity, agitation,
anger, burns easily, hair loss in summers. Pitta has intense sex drive and
learns quickly and forget slowly.
Pitta
should eat cool foods, sweet and bitter veggies, fruit and cooling spices like
turmeric, melons, pears, grapes, oranges, mangos, pomegranates, apples, plum,
cabbage, cauliflowers, broccoli, cucumbers, asparagus, okra, green beans, and
potato.
Foods
to avoid – all citrus fruits, olives, cut down all spices and oils, pineapples,
lemons, chili peppers, tomato, radish, raw onion, spinach, carrots, eggplant,
garlic.
All
these foods will defiantly help to balance all the doshas or elements.
Specially avoid these foods in each dosha weather which are mentioned to avoid.
